IACC Student Scholarship Program

Program Overview

The IACC Student Scholarship Program aims to support full-time undergraduate students of Iranian descent enrolled at a nationally accredited Florida college or university. Eligible students can receive up to $1,000 per academic year, with a maximum award of $2,000 throughout their study period. The scholarship is paid out in two installments of $500 per semester. To receive the second installment, recipients must provide proof of enrollment for the following semester to the IACC Board of Directors.


Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for the scholarship:

  • Be a full-time undergraduate student* of Iranian descent, defined as having one or both parents of Iranian heritage.
  • Be enrolled full-time at a nationally accredited Florida college or university.
  • Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.3 out of 4.0 scale.
  • Provide proof of full-time enrollment.

* Graduate students and dual-enrolled high school students are NOT eligible to apply.


Scholarship Awards

  • Each eligible student can receive up to $1,000 per year.
  • Scholarships are not automatically renewable. However, students may reapply each year, with a maximum eligibility of two years.
  • Recipients must continue to meet all eligibility requirements to receive the second-semester payment.

Payment Details

Scholarship payments are issued directly to the student and mailed to their home address in August for the fall semester and January for the spring semester.


Recipient Responsibilities

Recipients are required to:

  • Submit complete transcripts when requested.
  • Notify IACC of any changes in address, school enrollment, or other relevant information.
  • Complete a minimum of 10 hours of community service per semester, as determined by IACC.

Program Reservations

IACC reserves the right to:

  • Evaluate and determine the qualifications and eligibility of applicants based on submitted documents and the judgment of the IACC Board of Directors.
  • Review and modify the conditions and procedures of the scholarship program, including its termination, at any time.

Interested students must:

  • Complete and submit the application form.
  • Include a complete transcript of grades, required references, and enrollment documents.
  • Ensure the application is postmarked no later than June 28th for the upcoming academic year.

Important Notes:

  • Applications are reviewed annually.
  • Applicants are responsible for gathering and submitting all necessary information.
  • Priority is given to applicants from Central Florida, including the counties of Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Volusia, Brevard, and Lake.
